This Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark chocolate has 3 component to it which makes it taste very interesting as you take a bite at it. Chocolate layer (available in milk or dark or 60% dark), white chocolate layer, and peppermint crust. It's kind of unorthodox to use peppermint (or replace mint) with chocolate (as you might be tired of the peppermint candy cane), but they didn't put too much peppermint crust so it is good. but enough to give the kick of the mint taste (and mintier than the regular mint chocolate)
If you like mint or peppermint, there is a good chance that you will like this peppermint bark chocolate (maybe not at the first bite). This is perfect for the holiday time, after dinner and dessert.
I like the Dark Chocolate version compare to the Milk chocolate version because the white chocolate layer is already milky and sweet, as well as the peppermint crust, so the dark chocolate will give more balance and reduce the overall sweetness of this chocolate

The only make this once a year, and it is a family tradition in my home. I ordered some from Amazon ( not the current vendor listed, I think, not sure) in late November, after finding it sold out at traditional retail venues in my area.
This certainly seems to be a popular product, lets hope they continue to ship more! Yummy to snack on, and great to jazz up a dish ( or martini glass?) of ice cream.

Dark chocolate step aside for this smooth creamy bite of heaven. Pecans and milk chocolate aren't close to being favorites of mine, so last Christmas when I was given these squares, they sat quite lonely for at least a month until....gasp...I was out of dark chocolate.
I was hooked after the first bite. The finely chopped pecans give the creamy milk chocolate a snap of texture....yum!
Much to my dismay, the "special edition" meant just that---limited only to the holiday season and even Amazon did not have them.

Got these as stocking stuffers for Christmas, thinking they'd be too much candy -- they were gone within days. Probably faster than they should've been, and I ate most of them. I was not a fan of dark chocolate until a milk allergy forced me away from milk chocolate. I'm certainly not a confections expert, but I do love chocolate, and especially raspberry chocolates of all types and varieties. I can honestly say that these Ghirardelli raspberry filled chocolates are some of the best I've ever had, and are easily the best widely available in the US. I have had better (an Italian import that I cannot remember the name of), but they weren't that much better.
As another reviewer noted, the filling does contain actual raspberry seeds, and while some might not like that, I personally enjoy it. It lets me know that the filling I am consuming is made from real raspberries, not some boiled down concentrate with artificial flavors.
These are slightly expensive, but their worth the price in my opinion. Not too sweet, not too gummy, perfect served alongside coffee or as a petite desert after a meal. They also go well with a dark chocolate cake or brownie and ice cream.

I'm a serious choc-a-holic that has just stumbled on a piece of chocolate heaven. I'll only vouch for the coffee bar for now, since I haven't tried the rest (I'll update as I try them).
But for serious chocolate and coffee lovers alike, eating a piece of this is like allowing an explosion of your taste buds. As I'm sitting here writing this, the depth of its layered flavors are still lingering on my palate and it's almost as though the aroma has penetrated my whole cranium: nose, ears, eyes....I've never quite tasted anything so extraordinary.

I tried many Lindt chocolate bars, and this has to be the best one. I thought that the Cadbury's Raisin & Nuts was the best one until I tried the one by Lindt. The Lindt milk chocolate is one of the best in the industry, and the size and quantity of raisins and nuts is very proportional. I prefer to eat this chocolate bar after it has been in the fridge for at least 10 minutes, because it snaps better in the mouth. It also taste great at room temperature. My two favorite flavors of Ghirardelli chocolate squares are these Dark Chocolate with Caramel and the Dark Chocolate with Raspberry, but these are the best in my opinion. I find the chocolate to be very firm and the caramel to be very creamy, less sweet than others I've had. They are as pleasant as many creme caramels I have had, the burnt sugar flavor coming through. Some of the squares actually were broken with the filling oozing out, but I rather enjoyed these as long as they didn't stick to the wrappers. I'm not fond of licking the candy off the wrapper and discard those. For this reason, I cannot give these a 5 star review. I find that the wrappers are very easy to remove by simply tearing down the center seam and the confection can easily be popped into the mouth or nibbled while holding onto the chocolate inside the half wrapper. These are especially good with a cup of strong coffee. I have found that young children who like milk chocolate and/or candy bars were not fond of these. My coworker gave me a bar of the Lindt Wafer Milk Chocolate Bar as a gift and I had no idea where it was available. Once I had a bite of this, I fell in love with it and wanted more. I went to many, many stores and still cannot find it in stores.
